IAD (Internet Addiction Disorder) is another addiction that can be
anyone’s “dirty little secret.’ People who allow the Internet Addiction
Disorder to take over their lives find that it is as much of a problem
as drug addiction or addictions with food. The person with IAD
has no way to control their on-line life any more than drug addicts can
control their lives within the hazy world of drugs.
