However in the case of perfectionism, this is a situation in which
the person sets unrealistic goals that tare impossible for them to
attain. They feel that everything must be perfect.
Usually the behavior and thought patterns of a perfectionist are quite
rigid and there is no allowance made for human error or mistakes.
Unfortunately people who are perfectionists set goals for themselves
and others that are too high to achieve. When they are unable to
achieve these goals, they end up feeling depressed with low
self-esteem. Perfectionists sometimes fall prone to other addictions
such as drugs and alcohol when their goals are not met.
The symptoms that are typically found in perfectionism consists of:

* Feeling that other people expect you to be perfect
The treatment associated with Perfectionism consists of:
* Support and education about their behavior
* Behavioral therapy
* Enrollment in a rehabilitative program if an addiction to drugs or alcohol coexists.
