Anger and Anxiety responses
We all live experiencing some degree of stress in life. In fact, stress is not necessarily bad for you, & almost any emotion can trigger the body's stress response that adds an adrenalin jolt needed to take action.
Our human body is well equipped to deal with shorter term stressors that we experience by activating its automatic alarm system with its accompanying physical symptoms, and then bring it back into balance again once the stressor is over..
.this process is known as "homeostasis".
Long term, chronic or persistent stress can be produced in our daily demanding lives and creates anxiety / stress disorders in people the World over.
The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) reports nearly 25 million Americans suffer from some form of anxiety disorder:
Panic attacks, Obsessive-Compulsive disorder, Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), Post traumatic stress disorder, and Phobias- both simple and complex.

Anger management vs. stress management Reply to this Comment
The relationship between episodes of anger and episodes of stress (anxiety) are often indistinguishable. Triggers can be similar, reactions may go either way. Consider whether anger reactions are physiologically identical...both involve heightened adrenalin responses and "Fight or Flight" reactions are as old as Humankind itself. http://pamelasmalewilliams.com/GentleNonsense.html in Texas
