Unreliable therapist Reply to this Comment 2yrs ago i got into an was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.I had prescription drugs in my system.(was not the cause of accident). My lawyer told me that i needed to go to substance abuse counseling to help my case.I had been to therapy for years for depression and ask my therapist for a referal.She gave me the name of a therapist in her group that did substance abuse counseling as well as other therapy.I saw this therapist for about 3 months.i really liked her and planned to continue seeing her even after my legal case.When a letter was requested by myself and my lawyer from her she said no problem.The letter was never received. 3 times she agreed to write the letter and 3 times she never did.(I had to go to court those 3 times with out the promised letter).Frustrated and upset i told the therapist that recommended her what was going on and signed a medical release form so she could talk to her about this. The next day i received a phone call from the secretary of the substance abuse counseler saying she would not see me until i paid my balance w/her in full and in cash.She also said she would not be writing any letter for me. I have court and no letter after 3 months of therapy. What can i do? Please help | ||||||||
