I have a passion for helping women who struggle with their addiction and facing other challenges in life. I know first had how important it is to have someone to help with these issues. I have worked in detox, residential, inpatient, outpatient, and long-term settings with both adolescents and adults. I am a certified counselor intern who has completed almost all of my internship hours. I have a friend who is much younger than I and I feel that I need to help her. he is doing at the least 160 mg per day. I do not want her to die! I have been asking for months. She has finally given in. Problem is, I do not feel like an appointment with a doctor and get a scrip will do the job. I have been in treatment twice and i know that i wouldn't have made it with out the 12 step program and all the education. She is only 20 years old and and if she were to start a program now, I just could imagine where she could be and what she could do with her life. Please give me a hint as to what to do. P.S. Do you use soboxone for the treatment of Opiate addiction? It truely is a miracle when used correctly. I have not had a needle in my arm since 1979. I need to correct that. SO if you read it and where it says 1988 that is wrong. I quit the first part of 1979 and a few months later I found out I was expecting.1988 was when I finally gave in and filed for disability from the auto accident.Accepting that I could not hold a job down like most people.
