My husband & alcohol              Reply to this Comment
Iam still young. So is my husband.(36. His is drinking to much. He does not know when to stop. He is drinking by himself. When I am asking him to stop he always say I am having a problem with the alcohol. I must get a life. A few weeks ago he ask me to choose between him and my son, from a previous marraige. It almost broke my heart in two. I asked myself how could he? It is eight years that we are married. I went to see a friend to talk about the hurt inside of me, but just to realise no one can help me eccept God. I am still along way away from were I want to be. I still need help. All I can say to you out there hang in there with faith. Your friend Chantal

to all that are asking for help here DO NOT BE ASHAMED to ask somebody for help. Help is out there. I felt that same way. GOD works in mysterious ways.People would tell me all the time ask and you shall recieve. I never believed that because I always asked for things and never got them, but in my addiction I didn't realize I was always asking for the wrong thing. One day sitting in the back of a police car I asked God that if he was as great and grand that everyone told me he was he would get me out of this situation and I would never touch the stuff again, not 5 min passed and the cop told me to get out of the car sinc that day i have been clean and everything else happened I went to a recovery home and recieved all kinds of tools to stay sober. Using those toolds is my choice. Like I said if you need help just ask for it

Please someone help. I just dont know where to start. My brother has been addicted to ice for the past 3 years. I've watched him go from a perfect father, brother, and son to a lier and stealer. I always told him that he needs help. He use to tell me when I come to you is when you know I do. Until then "leave me alone." Well here we are 3 years later and he comes to me. I understand, for I use to use drugs recreational (until I felt like I was losing myself and quit). We use to get high together all the time. Things have changed and now he needs help. I dont know where to begin. I dont have the money for rehab....

Meth is easy              Reply to this Comment
I was a meth addict for over two years, and to be honest, I have never quit something so easy in my life, and I have tried every drug under the sun, including steroids and heroin, I was even a heroin addict for 5 1/2 months, and I injected all of it, including meth. I am 20 years old, and honestly, quitting all of those drugs were damn easy, e-mail if you want to know how to quit, and the right ways, it's not even a big deal, and you don't have to prepare yourself, hell you don't even need to want to have to quit.

METH ADDICTION              Reply to this Comment
I, too, was on METH for about 5 or 6 years. Then one day, I just decided to quit. It wasn't easy, but with a lot of help from having faith in GOD, I did it. I got down on my knees and humbled myself and asked HIM to help me. Then the hard part was up to me. I had to give up all of my "friends" and just find a new life for myself and my two wonderful children. Needless to say, their real dad is the one who introduced me to it. Thanks a lot!! But it wasn't him that kept me on it, so I can't really blame him. It was my choice. Hell, at one time I was living with a cook. Now I'm looking for a rehab for my twin brother, who started using way before I even knew anything about it. I've found one in LR, called the Hoover House and we're gonna call them in the morning, although, he has his heart set on Quapaw House. Dont' know why, he just does. If you need help, don't be ashamed to humble yourself and ask GOD for help. He's just waiting to hear from you, I promise. Oh, and a wonderful book that also helped me was "Meth Equals Sorcery", I think the authors first name is Steve, but I know his last name is Box, so if you can get your hands on it, read it. It will change your life. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!!

    crank              Reply to this Comment
why does it seem that out of all the drugs that have been around ever since I can remember that Crank seems to be the most addicting( I truly believe that) and they havent made a detox drug for people kicking it like they have for heroin addicts or people detoxing alcohol?? I wish they could invent a drug or medication that would ease the anxiety of wanting to keep chasing that crank high and take the edge off of coming down off it at least until a person feels the depression lift and starts to see there is indeed light at the end of the tunnel being off meth. Crank is so addicting it blows my mind. Ive never been up against anything so powerful in my life. I wish there was a magical cure for these blues....

I just read "A Childhood Taken Away by a Mother and Grandfather" and it helped me so much. I think I can handle a whole bunch more now. Thank you for letting me know about the book.

I just wanted to send a note out to any drug abusers out there who are parents. Your kids love you and need you to stop. My mom is a user, we dont know what of she wont admit what it is. My step dad, the stability in my life, passed away almost a year ago, in that year my sweet gardening picture perfect mother has changed. Friends i have had since grade 1 ( i am now 15 and in grade 9) dont recognize her. I am in foster care. All i want is my mommy back. Please try for your kids. It is so hard not to have her. She was like my best friend. Now i hate to admit it but she scares me. Love can conqure all, and hopefully your addiction. Im sure your children no matter what has happened or what you have done miss you and you are their whole world. They will always forgive... its the way we are. We can always forgive and forget just try... your kids are worth it.

Roy - I saw your note on this site. Mom is very worried about you. She says she hasn't heard from you in a year. She worries every day that you might be dead. Please contact her or me. I am sure we can get you help for your addiction. I'll be looking for you. Patricia

My boyfriend has been inhaling spray paint since I meet him 7 years ago. He has been in and out of prison since we meet. We have a 5 year old son toghther and not even that made him quite. He is in treatment again, As he has been many times before and it has failed. I want to believe that this time will be different, but he is 43 years old. Please God help him for our son's sake.

I celebrated my 1 year clean and sober on Sept 19th. I was using cocaine, pot, pain killers, and drinking often. For those that dont know if they should seek help, you have to. Nothing will get better until you do. I have gone a whole year without touching a single substance, and my life has taken a complete 180. Go to NA OR AA if you are scared to go to a facility. But if you dont face your problem, it will distroy everything around you, and in you
