    THE EFFECTS OF 4-MTA (4-METHYTHIOAMPHETAMINE)

4-methylthiamhetamine is basically a drug and people refer to it as either 4MTA, 4-MTA, flatliners or 1 – (4 – methylthiamhetamine) –2-aminopropane. Research shows that it is a Class A drug in the United Kingdom but there has been suggestions for it to be rescheduled as a class B drug.

There is yet another drug known as the paramethoryamphetamine but 4-MTA is a more dangerous one.

The effects of 4-methylthiamhetamine are very dangerous.

There have been reports of several cases where the consumption of this drug has resulted in a lot of deaths, and it’s mostly in UK and the Netherlands. Yet another noticeable thing about this drug is that, it affects the humans to a large extend and its effects are long lasting.

4-MTA could lead to hyperthermia, which results in organic failure and death.

Animal studies have shown that 4-MTA causes convulsive effects and respiratory problems and a kind of serotonergic behavioral syndrome. 4-MTA is also a potent serotine releaser, which is mostly sold as “ecstasy” or “flatliners”.

4-MTA is a new synthetic sulphur derivative of amphetamine, which has been the cause of almost six deaths from the time it was identified in Europe in the year 1997. But when people were questioned about the effects of this drug, there was a mixed reaction. A kind of reply, which did not hint towards one concrete answer. But the ones who had already tried out this drug said that they were ready to have it once again.
