THE EFFECTS OF BENZOCAINE USE
It has often been seen that benzocaine along with its actual effects has caused some unwanted side effects. Most of the times these side effects may not occur but when they do occur they may need medical attention.
If any one of the following side effects occurs, you have to immediately consult your doctor.
Minor reactions
Occurrence of large swellings, which resemble hives on the skin, throat or mouth.
Symptoms when excess medicine is being absorbed by the body- (rare cases)
Convulsions (seizures); blurred visions; confusion; dizziness or light-headedness; feeling hot, cold or numb, drowsiness; headaches; increased sweating; shivering or trembling; ringing or buzzing in the ears; troubled breathing; slow or irregular heart beats; unusual restlessness; anxiety or excitement; unusual tiredness or paleness.
Immediately check with your doctor if any one of the following side effects occurs.
Skin rashes, redness itching or hives, tenderness, stinging or burning not present before treatment.
These products are not meant for long-term use. Always remember to check with a professional or doctor if you are going to use the product for more than a week.
There is also many other side effects that not listed above might occur on some patients. In case you find any one of them occurring immediately consult with your doctor.
