"Club drugsā, the term implicates a wide variety of drugs mostly used at all-night dance parties ("raves"), concerts and nightclubs. These drugs actually harm the neurons in the brain, impairing the senses, coordination and memory judgment.
Various types of club drugs have varied effects on a person. Certain common symptoms are loss of muscle and motor control, seizures and blurred vision.
Drugs like ecstasy are stimulants which increase your blood pressure and heart rate leading to heart or kidney malfunctioning. Few club drugs, like GHB, are depressants which may cause drowsiness, breathing problems or even unconsciousness.
Drugs like Rohypnol can cause a type of amnesia. Here users usually forget what they did or said while using the same.

Can you detect a friend who uses club drugs? At times it's impossible to understand. Yet there are signs one can look for. Check if your friend has any of the following symptoms, if so they may be a user:
- remembering recent actions or words
- Coordination problems, fainting and dizziness
- Confusion
- Depression
- Sleeping problems
- Frequent chills or sweating
- Slurring speech
