THE EFFECTS OF CRACK COCAINE USE
Though crack is creates a feeling of exuberance in the user, it also leaves a number of important as well as potentially dangerous effects on the user. Even those who take it a few times are harboring an added risk for heart attack, stroke, severe mental disorders and respiratory problems.
When crack gets into the bloodstream, at first it leaves the user feeling energized, alert and more sensitive to sight, touch and sound. The heart rate increases, pupils dilate and temperature and blood pressure rise.
Users may at times start to feel restless, irritable and/or anxious. Large amounts of, crack might turn a person exceptionally aggressive, delusional and/or even paranoid.
Due to its effects on the heart rate and breathing, crack may result in heart attack, respiratory problems, seizures or strokes. This may also affect the digestive tract resulting in nausea, loss of appetite and abdominal pain.
When crack is consumed with alcohol, the two substances mix in the liver to make a chemical known as cocaethylene. It is a potentially fatal and toxic product that produces a more powerful high than crack only but also increases blood pressure and heart rate more than crack alone, resulting in its potentially deadly consequences.
