Dimethyltryptamine is a very powerful psychedelic drug. The effect of Dimethyltryptamine or DMT, when injected, is virtually instantaneous and also very powerful. This can be very frightening to the user.
The heart rate of the user and his blood pressure shoot up drastically and there is a feeling of elation and confusion.
The potency of the drug and the intensity of the experience often overwhelm the user.
Normally the effects of DMT only last for a short time. But at times it can even last up to 12 hours. Some users become very paranoid and terrified after using DMT.They become panicky and confused.Other side effects may include hallucinations, nausea, dizziness, headache, vomiting and hypertension and diarrhoea, dilated pupils and an increased pulse rate.
It is imperative that people with a heart problem or high blood pressure do not use DMT.
As such DMT is not likely to be addictive. It may however cause tolerance if used frequently.
