THE HISTORY OF GHB

Manufactured in secret and concealed labs, GHB is a synthetic drug, which depresses the central nervous system. In the year 1990, the FDA banned GHB because the use of this drug has serious and severe risks. However, this drug in sold in some other countries to treat sleeping disorders. GHB was permitted for the treatment of an unusual form of narcolepsy on the 27^th July 2002.

  In the United States, the majority of GHB is manufactured illicitly. GHB and its other variants are regarded as ‘date rape’ drugs like Rohypnol. They can be combined in fluids (even water) and the victim will not know about it as it does not appear or smell unusual. Moreover, the salty or soapy taste of GHB makes it difficult to be noticed when it is mixed in a drink.
