    WHY DO PEOPLE USE HASHISH?

Tetrahydrocannabinol or THC is the chief active component of hashish. What is the precise nature of its activity is still unknown to man even though it is assumed that this drug alters a psychoactive compound in the liver. It has been observed that the effect will be more if the THC content is more. People use hashish to produced effects such as ecstasy, feeling of happiness and euphoria.

These effects normally come hand in hand with change in the perception of the user (especially the perception of time and space). Feeling of euphoria is at is peak at about 10 minutes to half-an-hour of smoking the drug. However, the remaining effects may carry on for two to three hours approximately.

There are two ways of taking this drug, through eating and smoking. Regarded as a proactive drug, hashish can be used to relax a person, make the user hopeful, humorous and positive and lift his mood. It can also be used to decrease the level of stress, make the user hold a positive attitude and decrease pressure. In addition, hashish can enhance the senses of the users and as a result, they are able to distinguish everything clearly. The colors and brightness will become more vibrant and bright. Users are able to hear extremely well. Very often this makes the users love music along with the use of marijuana (simultaneously). Furthermore, the alertness of the user is improved and the sense of time is altered.
