INHALANTS USE SIGNS
Almost most of the abused inhalants cause effects, which resemble the effects of anesthetics, and they slow down the functioning of the user’s body. These inhalants can cause intoxicating effects if they are sniffed in excess quantity. These effects usually carry on for a few minutes but if the user uses the inhalant continuously then the effects can carry on for many hours. At first, the users will feel a little motivated but with the increase in inhalations he or she may lose inhibitions and control.
Ultimately, he or she may become unconscious.
The following are some of the symptoms and indications of inhalant abuse:
- Bad temper
- Depression
- Negligence
- Unclear speech
- Vomiting
- Loss of appetite
- Confused or drunk look
- Smell of chemical on the clothes and breath of the user
- Home items getting lost
- Lack of harmonization
- Pant or stains on clothes, hands and face
If you child is taking inhalants then take measures to remedy the problem.
Inhalants can cause physical symptoms like:
- Red eyes and runny nose
- Shaky, confused or drunk look
- Mixed up or unclear speech
- Loss of appetite
- Nausea
- Strange smell on the clothes or breath of the user
- Soreness or spots around the mouth
These inhalants are available everywhere. They are legal, cheap and easy to hide. Many users do not know the threat of inhalants. The youngsters use them, as they do not know the danger of inhalants. It will be difficult to let go of this habit once they are addicted to it.
