The popularity of LSD lies behind its ‘mind-expanding’ nature. It is claimed by many users that their life in general has altered to great extent after having LSD. In the initial hours of “tripping” the users see bright colors and feel prickly and restless. The peak begins after initial 3 hours.
Tremendous visual delusions are experienced by the users. People say that vibrant colors are seen and surroundings feel to be in movement. They also picture things that don’t exist at that place. Severe mental transformation occurs. The consumer sways from moments of intense insight to phases of dizziness. They indulge in disoriented conversations which seems baseless to a non-users. If a LSD influenced person is found between individuals who are not tripping, they suffer from acute paranoia.
If a previous problem or fear stays is the mind of the user, then during tripping those are intensified and become harder to discard. The mind grows to be highly responsive to the surroundings and any alteration or disturbance distresses the user severely. This is known as a “bad trip”. It’s absolutely essential to give company to such a person who is going through a “bad trip”, talking to them and trying to make them relaxed.
