THE EFFECTS OF LIDOCAINE USE
Apart from beneficial characters a medication also have negative outcome. Not always the side effects are seen, but when they crop up, they can be controlled by other medicines.
See immediate medical help if the following symptoms are observed:
Allergic reaction symptoms
Uncommon
giddiness or fainting, scratching or skin irritation, chest rigidity, breathlessness, cough, stuffy nose, trouble gulping or tongue puffiness, rash or puffiness of eyelids, face or lips, uneasy breathing or briefness of breath.
Indications of excessive medicine absorption into the system
Uncommon
Sensation warmth, chill, or numbness; frequent breathing or difficulty breathing; hazy or distorted vision; muscle convulsion or shaking; abnormal fatigue or frailty; puzzlement; odd enthusiasm, anxiety, or agitation; drumming or humming in the ears; faintness, light-headedness or sleepiness; nausea or vomiting
If the prescribed medication is used according to directions then the above mentioned side-effects are unlikely to happen.
But under certain careless conditions these side effects may happen, like- if smeared over extended area, kept back on skin for longer time period, if it is applied frequently and if smudged on inflamed skin.
There are several other side-effects that generally don’t require much medical care. These above mentioned side effects will gradually disappear at some stage of the healing as the body gets used to the drug.
