    WHY DO PEOPLE USE MARIJUANA?

Various motives act behind the use of marijuana by young teenagers and sometimes children. Quite a number of persons have used marijuana influenced by their friends, sisters, brothers and grown-up family member, while others might have smoked marijuana coming under peer pressure.

Seeing it on TV and hearing songs about it has impressed many and they thought it to be a hip thing to do. Sometimes youngsters to run away from troubles at school, with friends or at home seek help of marijuana and other drugs.

The effects of THC produced by working its influence on the brain have been scientifically observed. The process through which the THC gets transmitted – firstly, inhalation of marijuana smoke, which is then quickly passed to the bloodstream from the lungs, and then it is carried to different organs along with brain, to various parts of the body.

Inside the brain, THC affects the action of the nerve cells by connecting to particular sites on these cells called cannabinoid receptors. Certain parts of the brain have no cannabinoid receptors at all or few of them, while others have many. Most of the cannabinoid receptors are placed in that part of the brain which triggers memory, happiness, synchronized movement, judgment, sensory and time perception and attentiveness.

Even though marijuana leaf appears on many t-shirts as a fashion statement or many bands may sing about it, but one should always remember that, he/she doesn’t ‘ought to’ have it only because it’s a trend and everyone is following it. One need not be a copy-cat.
