    MESCALINE USE SIGNS

Even though in comparison to LSD mescaline is not so powerful, it can cause hallucinations. The effect of peyote or mescaline ‘trip’ can continue for a period of twelve hours approximately. Just like LSD, it can be a bad or good trip, as the case may be.

Again, like LSD, the user of mescaline may have his perception and sensation weakened, may have psychotic response, ineffective thinking and unaware of the time.

Hence, it is considered as a threat to the mind of the user.

Writer Carlos Castafleda wrote the most distinguished evidence of mescaline experience in his famous book called Journey to Ixtian. According to him, it was one unpleasant or euphoric experience after the other.

In details he wrote that a tunnel was created about him in a very short time after taking the drug. The tunnel was low and small, rigid and extraordinarily chilly. The wall felt like a firm tinfoil when touched. According to him, he slowly crept in the direction of a round point where the tunnel finished. When (and if) he did reach the end, he couldn’t remember anything.

Castafleda saw the guardian of the world appear before him (in other trips) who was as high as a hundred foot with droolingiaws and prickly hair. He also saw a dominant teacher called ‘Mescalito’ consecutively as a black dog, a line of bright light, a creature that looked like a cricket with a green warty head, and he even spoke to a coyote who was bilingual. According to him, he was frightened.

The central nervous system is also affected by mescaline just like in case of LSD. To speak in simple words, this drug has an affect on the brain of the user.
