Parentally, morphine as epidural, subcutaneous and intravenous injections can be specified. Morphine produces a strong tightening feeling in the muscles and makes a powerful ‘rush’, when inserted mainly intravenously. Sometimes morphine loaded in an auto injector is issued by the military.
Morphine is available in tablet form, intense solution, as an elixir, or crush (for compounding), in words.
Morphine in suppository appearance is seldom supplied. Verbal morphine is only one-sixth to one-third of the strength of parental morphine due to its reduced verbal bioavailability. Immediate-release formulations and extended-release capsules for chronic administration of morphine is available.
There are several routes by which morphine is managed. It can be sniffed, swallowed, injected or smoked. Morphine can create a broad state of relaxation and well-being and strong excitement when injected mainly intravenously. Quick growth of patience to these effects can be resulted by its regular use. Fast growth of deep mental and physical dependence can also be caused. If the use of heroin is stopped suddenly there may be withdrawal symptoms. The symptoms formed in the case of moderately severe flu have the similarity of several of these symptoms.
In the North American street drug society morphine is uncommonly encountered. Amongst the health professionals there have been several familiar cases of morphine primarily because of its ease of use in hospitals.
