    THE EFFECTS OF MORPHINE USE

Amongst the many side effects of morphine respiratory misery is the most hazardous. However it is not clinically vital, following average doses of morphine slight degrees of respiratory illness may be noticed. The pupils becomes very little, the respiratory rate decreases and the patient becomes increasingly knocked out with in weak patients or advanced doses. Vomiting and nausea are the common side effects.

The central act of morphine anxious with vomiting called chemo tactic trigger zone inspiring one of the centres in the brain causes the side effect. Dependence leading to addiction, cough repression and sedation is some other side effects of mid nervous system. After surgery when morphine is used for the dealing of acute pain, then dependence is not a difficulty. To ease ache enough morphine should be given.

The peristalsis i.e. the wave like progress of the bowel muscle that drives its stuffing forward gets abridged and the sphincter contracts due to the consequence that morphine has on the muscle of the bowel and urinary area. It may lead to urinary preservation, late emptying of appetite and constipation. A gentle flushing of skin and irritation on nose and skin may be caused due to the histamine release because of morphine. Blood pressure and heart have a little direct effect.
