    WHY DO PEOPLE USE ROHYPNOL?

In USA Rohypnol because of its wide application as a date-rape pill, it came to be known, but Rohypnol usage as leisure drug became very popular. It was consumed by high school and college scholars, people attending rave parties, by cocaine and heroin addicts (“roofie” name given to a dose of Rohypnol) for pleasure, which also includes:

To generate intense stimulation (several weeks before the death of Kurt Cobain he had consumes an excess of Rohypnol and champagne).

To enhance the high generated by heroin, or relieve the nervousness or/and sleeplessness of withdrawal.

To encounter the after effect of energizer (e.

    g. sleeplessness, fear, anxiety)

To “soften” proposed “crash” this traces large use of drugs, like cocaine or methamphetamine.

Sex appeal and hunger of a person gets increased.

Oral intake of Rohypnol is very common and frequent taken with alcohol. It is seldom insufflated (i.e. snorting of the crushed tablet powder.). An extremely powerful alcohol solution of Rohypnol (Darkene) existed in Europe.

For the consoling and anti-emotive effect thieves take it before caring out theft. The thieves can steal without becoming nervous. Rohypol inducts Anterograde amnesia and that creates problems in police investigation.

i think people use rohypnol because they are unwilling to cope with stress and stressors. but if only they try there best to cope with it they will be better off than doing drugs other than rohypnol. thats all i got to say about that

why people use it?              Reply to this Comment
While Rohypnol has become widely known for its use as a date-rape drug, it is abused more frequently for other reasons. It is abused by high school students, college students, street gang members, rave party attendees, and heroin and cocaine abusers to produce profound intoxication, boost the high of heroin, and modulate the effects of cocaine. Rohypnol is usually consumed orally, is often combined with alcohol, and is abused by crushing tablets and snorting the powder. Rohypnol abuse causes a number of adverse effects in the abuser, including drowsiness, dizziness, loss of motor control, lack of coordination, slurred speech, confusion, and gastrointestinal disturbances, lasting 12 or more hours. Higher doses produce respiratory depression. Chronic use of Rohypnol can result in physical dependence and the appearance of withdrawal syndrome when the drug is discontinued. Rohypnol impairs cognitive and psychomotor functions affecting reaction time and driving skill. The use of this drug in combination with alcohol is a particular concern as both substances potentiate each other's toxicity
