    ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER

Having medical help: Attention deficit disorder is a serious problem, which can deteriorate the quality of life of the patient. So it is advisable not to wait, rather consult your doctor specializing in ADD like conditions. The doctor not only will confirm diagnosis for ADD but also refer you to support groups among other things.

Eating: have plenty of water and take multi-vitamins.

Taking multivitamin, omega-3 supplements and having well balanced meals are important. Remember, a well balanced diet is crucial for ADD sufferers.

Planning: a day planner is necessary for ADD patients. Plan your days and make lists that will include your tasks in a day. Check off the tasks as you accomplish them. This panning will relieve some anxiety and stress that are common among ADD patients.

Realizing: ADD does not point out that you are unlearned or slow. This disorder is not retardation. It is true that for the ADD sufferers, it is 10 times harder to focus on mental tasks than non-sufferers. However, if the ADD patients are treated correctly and made to know the ways to cope with their plight, they can compete with the normal people and sometimes even outsmart them.

Learning: studying and the art of memorization are essential if you are an ADD patient. As stated above, for the ADD patients, it is 10 times more difficult to focus on than normal people. Learn techniques of memorization like lists, associations, linking to make life easier.
