It’s time for you to look into sending your teen to a juvenile boot camp if he or she has lately been barred from the school or is all the time running away. Such camps have in fact produced positive outcome in the life of lots of teens but still are viewed as a form of child abuse by some people.
A few of the problems that are looked into at juvenile boot camp are as follows:
Uncontrollable anger
5in;" class="MsoNormal">Substance abuse
Bad influences from friends
Disorder Oppositional Defiant
ADD/ADHD
Running away
Sudden outbursts
Kids who take medicine are not dealt with by most juvenile boot camps. It is preeminent, and at times compulsory that you wean your child off of his medication before his departure, if you plan to send your child to a camp. The camp will attempt to help a child deal with life without medication in many cases.
Remember that sometimes it’s not the best option to send your teen to a juvenile boot camp even when it seems the last ditch effort to save your child. Consider having your teen treated in a psychiatric hospital or a residential treatment center if he or she has exhibited any signs of suicidal tendencies. If your teen is severely depressed then you may also consider a therapeutic boarding school. Juvenile boot camp is not a solution if she or he hurts herself or himself, or has been analyzed with some psychiatric disorder.
