SELF ESTEEM PROBLEM OF GIRLS WITH ADHD

There are many parents who tend to continuously shower criticisms on their daughters with ADHD. Their constant watch on their daughters' appearance smartness, good marks and shyness may be a manifestation of their constant worry about their wards. But it should also be remembered that these little girls should be treated very sensitively. Low self-esteem is the only problem with these girls who are either rebellious and loud or shy.

However do they behave, whether shyly or impulsively, the only reason behind the uncontrolled behavior of these girls is the ADHD within them. They are always in a state of sentimental daze. A technique of managing stress learnt at an early age helps them to "regroup" and come back to normalcy after a stress period. The girls lack self-confidence, which is constantly threatened by their poor interaction in school; at home they try to rebuild it. ADHD makes them feel inferior to every body. This results in their distraction and impulsive behavior and accordingly their poor marks in school. Girls with ADHD lack in the assertiveness and the vigor. They face a dearth of energy when it comes to developing skills and any special faculty. A word of praise acts like a miraculous boost for them. Often this kind of an optimistic turn of things enables them to learn something that they like to indulge in.
