STATISTICS - ADHD AND DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR

It is common to find ADHD patients doing anti-social deeds. Almost 60% kids with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder are even defiant or oppositional, probably having troubles with the law as well. Kids with Impulsive-hyperactive ADHD, have a greater knack for getting into trouble than the kids with Inattentive ADHD, owing to their tendency to desire for a an anti-social behavior incentive, and their impulsive actions. They often get caught easily since their crimes are impulsive and thus, badly planned.

Untreated Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder kids, average about 2 arrests, by the time they are eighteen years old. Almost 20% untreated Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder kids get arrested for crimes, as opposed to 3% teens that do not bear ADHD symptoms. About 50% prisoners suffer from the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and were not treated as teens or children for the disorder. According to the estimations, about half of the teens under juvenile facilities show ADHD, but had been left untreated. Often arson is related to Attention Deficit Disorder, since teens with untreated ADHD thrice more likable to get arrested for it than the ones not suffering from the disorder, i.e., about 5% kids without the disorder as opposed to 16% ADHD kids who are arrested. The inattentive children show a tendency to be uncooperative in the house due to lack of motivation that prevents them from remembering things that they were supposed to have done. Problems in our nations and homes have been caused due to ADHD. Therefore we must learn more about ADHD, its diagnosis, and effective treatment methods.
