Difficulties in learning may be a result of ADHD. Impatience and getting distracted often poses a problem in learning lessons at an educational institution. Although some studies and statistics indicate that 50-70% of the ADHD affected patients do suffer from learning disorders, ADHD is not always a cause of LD.
As explained by the National Joint Committee on Learning Disability, LD is a nomenclature acquired by a number of difficulties taken together; this includes the inability to gather knowledge and solve problems of mathematics, or to write, spell and reason.
The malfunctioning of the central nervous system is the main cause behind these kinds of problems, which are inbred in an individual.
Behaviors, which are self-regulatory in nature and other social perceptions and set-ups, may have a co-existence with LD but they do not cause it. LD can be seen to exist with other disorders but any such agent never influences it.
LD with ADHD can cause a child to suffer a lot of frustrating circumstances while learning at an institution. Professionals in this field are seeing the increasing need of testing for LD in ADHD children. Without LD or ADHD indicators, many schools sometimes decline the proposal of testing of a specific LD.
Though incidentally more boys are diagnosed with LD than girls, learning disorder affects girls just as commonly as the boys.
