Tranquility Bay is located on a beautiful campus on the coast of Jamaica.
The objective of Tranquility Bay is to help struggling teens replace inappropriate attitudes, behaviors, and habits while at the same time excell academically.
Tranquility Bay takes a unique approach to education by presenting
an academic program that allows its students to work at their own
pace. With assistance of qualified teachers, students work
independently to earn credits toward High School Graduation. This
program works great for students that would like to catch up, work
toward early graduation, or just like to work at their own pace.
This setting allows teachers to have more flexibility when addressing the
individual needs and special qualities of each students. The structure
at our school helps to create a learning environment that allows
students to acquire the tools necessary to succeed academically and
socially throughout their life.
Tranquility Bay works with students and teachers to develop an education
plan for each student. Teachers and students work together in setting and completing
the goals and steps required to complete the credits laid out in the
students' education plan. Students are learn to be accountable for their own
performance and progress. Students also improve their independent study and
comprehension skills.
Tranquility Bay is accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools,
Universities and Colleges. Tranquility Bay is also a registered
independent school with Jamaica's Ministry of Education, Youth and
Culture.
