In our society drug addiction is not new or unusual. Every year the percentage of drug addicts are rising without fading to impose problems on persons, members of the family and in general also the community. Any person who is a drug addict cannot see the harshness of their habit and the rate of disaster caused by it. Crisis development must be seen as an opening to a positive way in the life of a drug addict.

What is the meaning of Drug Intervention? The act of love, helpful and rigid in its final goal is drug intervention; it helps the drug addict to move mentally and physically for the professional aid. The friends and family members should in advance make an approach towards the problem before the problem occurs. Aims of Intervention At first for intervention the drug addict should get out of rejection and must accept his quandary. The chemically dependent individual must be shown care by someone. A bonding should be made quickly because this will provide confidence to everyone, especially the drug addict. While the initial evaluation is done then the practical alternatives are offered to the addicted person. In the whole process the drug addict must allow himself to look for the treatment. There is always a need of a support team to handle the crisis situation.
