    ADOLESCENT THERAPY

Nowadays, various treatment programs and therapies are available to help teenagers to face problems such substance abuse, poor academic record, depression and oppositional defiant disorder. By concentrating on insight-oriented experiences, special schools help to provide personal growth to the troubled teenagers. Rehabilitation, wilderness, day treatment, behavior modification and out patient therapy programs are few of the helpful programs available at these schools.

For teens that suffer from emotional and communal behavior problems, the Behavioral Modification is the best program.

This program is designed to tackle and redirect improper behavior and help to reward and strengthen proper behavior.

Rehabilitation programs are for those teens who suffer from drug and alcohol abuse. Parents of such troubled teens prefer to send them to these centers as they have various medical programs that medicals authorities supervise. Usually the teens are not allowed to leave until they are absolutely drug free or clean.

An excellent alternative to boot camp is the Wilderness program. These camps help the teens to recover through various outdoor therapy programs. Powerful family involvement, masters and doctorate level counselors, individualized treatment plans and flexible lengths of stay are also included in the Wilderness program.

Although, adolescent therapy may be the beat alternative to treat your troubled teen, you should be extremely careful in choosing the program, as selecting the right program may prove to be quite difficult.
