    SCHOOLS FOR TROUBLED ADOLESCENTS

Therapeutic, Christian and Military boarding schools are some of the specialty boarding schools that are available for troubled teenagers. These are considered by many parents to be a better choice as compared to the alternative day schools. Irrespective of the type of boarding school that they are, each of them has a very organized range of facilities. Thus help is provided to the teenagers who have acute problems and need to be supervised and monitored.

The needs of the disturbed children attending the Christian boarding schools are tackled using the principles and values of Christianity. If the teenager simply needs a more disciplined and constructive environment, then military school is the right option. Military schools are not meant to aid to teenagers with acute problems, because they are not equipped to bring in any change or emotional growth in these troubled teens. A teenager with acute emotional and behavioral problems needs therapy and treatment programs. Therapeutic boarding schools though more expensive are advocated in such cases, as their therapeutic element enables them to handle these troubled teenagers through individual or group therapy, or sometimes a combination of both.
