I am highly concerned with the practices of your organization especially the prescribing of psychotropic drugs without any regard to contacting the noncustodial parent even after one of your therapists strictly stated that the primary cause for such anxiety in the child was not of a mentasl nature but of family problems which your organization is aiding to thwart.

17 yr old son with Asperger's syndrome and problem with marijuana use              Reply to this Comment
Help! My son has Asperger's syndrome and we're also discovered he's been using marijuana. We're having a terrible time communicating with him and are tyring to get him to finish high school (he should graduate in June 2006). He doesn't think he has a problem but we keep finding evidence that he does. His social problems related to his Asperger's makes a group home/rehab problematic. Does anyone know of a counselor/program in the bay area that could help?

My infant children are in a foster home that has committed to adopt them in 4 mo if I have not completed an in-pt rehab program for appox 30days. My problem is in funding. If I cannot come up with private pay then I can not go to rehab. Without my children I do not qualify for state assistance. HELP

Methadone Patient              Reply to this Comment
I am the step mother of one of your patients children. I have been around long enough to know that many people abuse the methadone, and sell it for personal gain. On top of using it, they also continue to take prescription pills. She is a terrible parent, and I don't think the methadone is helping her get any better. She has been coming there for at least 2 years.

    rehab              Reply to this Comment
I wonder what kind of "special" treatment one might get if he/she sought treatment at the "treatment for professionals" rehab center? Why should that be any different than help for the "poor"? Isn't that a form of discrimination?

My sister's Drinking              Reply to this Comment
My sister was recently arrested for DUI. In a way I was relieved. I knew her drinking was out of control and something drastic would have to happen before she would realize what she was doing. Unfortunately, her attitude since the arrest has been that she is not guilty. I am hoping that the court will remand her to a treatment program. Again, I fear she will go with the attitude that it does not apply ot her. Please tell me they have a way of waking up people.
