    Objective:

To effectively utilize my 22 years of health care experience and skills to enhance the company and/or agency that I work for. Due to my work in multiple disciplines of the health care industry, such as: Governmental and congressional litigation research and legislative actions, a counselor specializing in abuse, violence and neglect, a published author, as well as the owner of a durable medical equipment company, I have become a highly organized individual with excellent leadership abilities, written and oral communication skills, and customer service competence. I bring a fresh, new innovative and solutions-based approach to the health care industries needs of today.

    Experience:

    ·         During the past three years, my husband and I owned and operated The Diabetic Superstore, Inc. This was a medical supply located in Kingston, TN. Our medical supply was unique in the fact that we specialized in Diabetic care. During these past three years, we took a $3500.00 investment to a business earning over $450,000.00 and over 1000 patients. We did this by initiating new ideas into the market such as Diabetic education classes, nutrition support and food, custom orthotics and shoes as well as standard medical supplies. The Diabetic Super Store was the first-ever “one-stop-shop” for all Diabetic needs.

    ·         Prior to Owning the Diabetic Super Store, Inc. I have been a Domestic Violence counselor and advocate for over twenty years. I am certified in over 20 different areas of counseling in addition, at twenty years old I worked with the Arizona Governor’s office to initiate a first-ever bill that made Domestic Abuse illegal. I am one of the founders of The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence as well as the DV Stop initiative.

    ·         During the course of the past twenty years I have been invited to join three leading speaker’s bureaus and have written articles on Alcohol abuse, domestic violence as well as currently writing a book on my own personal issues of abuse. I have also supervised writers for numerous internet forums.

    ·         I am also experienced as a writer and speaker through the major Corporation of GE. During my tenure at GE Travel Management and Financial Services, I was trained in Six Sigma and as a writer for their corporate support and leadership training seminars.

    ·         Prior experience includes numerous journalism awards during High School that landed me a job with the Arizona Republic Newspaper designing advertisements. I was also on their speaker’s bureau and traveled across Phoenix for various presentations.

    ·         During my junior and senior high school years, I was an avid writer for our newspaper and year book staff and entered college specifically for Journalism.

    Education

    High School Graduate with honors

Currently completing the Bachelors of Science in Pre-Law and Behavioral Health. (I attended the University of Phoenix, however am transferring to a local college here).I have a little less than 1 year to complete, depending upon how many courses I choose to take and frankly, when I decide to go back to school.

Will continue Law School upon completion of my undergraduate studies.

    Interests/Skills

Singing, speaking and writing. I am a Christian Contemporary/Country singer for Direct Impact Ministries. I also sing in the Praise/Worship Band with my church. We (my husband and I) developed this ministry 10 years ago. My husband is an Associate Pastor of two congregations and is currently involved in a new church plant where he will be the Senior Pastor.

We are active in the Ministry and donated our Medical Supply to help develop a Diabetic Clinic in Mexico with Vision Ministries.

I am a published author with articles written for such leading Christian publications as Focus on the Family and am currently writing a book and some short stories. I am a public speaker for Christian events as well.

Computer Skills: I can run just about any Microsoft and/or government program or accounting program available to the business world today. I am also proficient in all Microsoft Programs. I am extremely talented in the area of designing templates or programs to meet the end-result. Currently, I type at approximately 60-70 wpm. I am fluent in all aspects of HTML as well as the internet.

I am an end-results oriented person who neither needs nor desires micro-management. If you tell me your end result I will get you there. I am steadfast and focused and prefer to be a self-starter I work at my best in a pressure-cooker type atmosphere.

Currently I am a member of three national speaker’s bureaus. I am an excellent presenter and communicator. I am a former Miss Arizona, 3rd Runner up Miss America, 20th Century and a former Model of The year. I have appeared in movies, TV and commercials.  (However true, I added this just to see if you were still reading… HA!) Oh, and I have a fabulous sense of humor!
