I have done hours & hours of research and I am trying to find more info on USAF Bases that provide treatment for this disorder and/or have it close by the base. They are currently unable to treat me at the overseas base I am currently at and will be moving us to a stateside assignment that has a facility to treat my ED. Can anyone proved more info? Overeating disorders and a learning disorder having trouble understanding what I'm reading plus am being laid off my job because of this learning disorder.              Reply to this Comment
I am 39 years of age and need someone to help me to get over this struggle with these issues with eating and the learning disorder. I need some type of live treatment for the overeaters like some type of home free of charge and doesn't cost me nothing to stay there for at least 7 months so that I can save my money for an apartment to live in. I now live in the Los Angeles County and just need something free of charge plus I'm saving some money to help my sister too. I may have to leave state to go put my sister in the hospital because she is sick herself. So I will need tohave this assistance at least 3 months from today if possible. I will be gone for about 3 months from the !st of January 2008. Leave your information and contact number with me on my email address as soon as you get this information from me. leticiaquinonez1@yahoo.com or call my friend's number 1-213-689-0198 I may be gone for at least 4 months at the most so as soon as I get back i will call you again and get the help that I need to move on with my life too. Thanks. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Leticia D. Quinonez

I am told I have an eating disorder and my friends and family want me to see a therapist or go to an inpatient facility. I am still not happy with my body image even though I have lost 65 pounds in 4 months. I want to be smaller. I am willing to consider seeing a therapist but am scared. should I wait until I am ready or look for help now? I live in Idaho Falls Idaho and the closest inpatient is in Utah. I have 6 kids and a mentally ill husband and am only 36 years old. If you have any insight into this please email me at polly@combe.myrf.net

hi i am an 18 year old female in houston texas and i have been overweight practically all my life. i am not just a few pounds overweight i and extremely overweight i believe that i have crossed over into being morbidlly obese. i am 5'6 and the last time i went to the doctor (which i rarely do because im so scared of what they may say because diabetes and other health problems do run in my family)i was nearly 400 pounds and i have never been so big in my life and that is where i want to draw the line. i want to get healthy for me now before when i tried to do it for the wrong reasons i never succeeded but now i know that the main reason i need to do this is my health because i am at risk of serious conditions and even death and i dont want that.so i guess im on here in search of a live in facility that would provide me with the assistance i need to start a new life of health and happiness.i really need one hopefully that is free of charge or have special financial aid programs because my family doesnt have the money at all to pay for the treatment i need and i really believe if im placed in an environment where i have no choice but to focus on my health and i am giving the tools i need to continue progressing at home then i will get to my goal and i really want to do that so please contact me at nevaboo16@aol.com with any information.thank you very much!!:)

Hi Jenneva, You are not alone. I over eat too but I lost about 35 pounds just from exercising. Start with small steps. Go for a short walk and make it fun. Listen to your favorite music. A 10 minute walk is great for the first few weeks. Then increase another 5 minutes. Now try to do some resistant exercises. Try push-ups and situps. only do as much as you can with these. I don't even care if it is 1 push up and 5 sit ups. This is great. When it gets easier increase on your sit ups and push-ups. You are going to take your time and keep adding minutes to your walk as it gets easier. You are going to increase your resistant exercises. I want you to so this two times a week for two weeks. Then go to 3 times a week. If you miss a day NEVER beat yourself up. Get back on the horse again and try for the next day. You can do it. I want you to look in the mirror today and start loving yourself. You are a beautiful person inside and out. Now write on a piece of paper 3 times, I love myself. I am a good person inside and out. I can do it. I will not give my power to anyone. I am keeping my power. I also recommend that you seek some positive support, like a therapist, minister, friend, or a pet. I believe that you have a lot of pain inside or have had some trauma and maybe you deal with it by eating. I do this too. If this is your case I want you to know that whatever trauma you had or have it was and will never be your fault. I know you can do it. Remember to take small steps and never beat yourself up if you didn't feel like exercising. You are a beautiful person inside and out. Take care I hope I helped YOU.
