Does anyone kno how long syboxin and or xanex stays in your system after taking it?

    methadone              Reply to this Comment
I totally agree! My husband was on heroin over 8 yrs ago, and he said methadone gets into your bones, its so hard to kick it. The doctors are a Huge problem in this epidemic. I know people that wouldn't as much as smoke a joint before an accident or a surgery who have become full blown addicts from their pain meds so much for "pain management" Methadone needs to go - and a permanent solution for recovery needs to be implemented. Years and years of methadone is no cure.

7 months, $4,000= withdrawls              Reply to this Comment
I have been on suboxone for 7 months, I have spent $4,000 and now that I am officially out of money and in withdrawls from the suboxone, the dr says there is nothing he can do for me. Who is getting rich off of this medicine, it is $400-$600 per month and still rising with each passing month. Why are they making it so difficult for people to get off of painkillers!!! I think some national media attention should be brought to this situation. People just need help, and for any normal middle class citizen, suboxone is more than likely going to be out of their price range. So 7 months and $4,000 and I am right back where I started in withdrawls. Good work suboxone! YOu saved my life...(sarcastic)

    Methadone/Suboxone              Reply to this Comment
I need to tell anyone who is interested in listening. Methadone, in my opinion is a joke! It's just another money making proposition. I used for 25 years out on the streets and in 1986 got clean. I went to a treatment facility and got clean. I started going to NA meetings and have been clean for 21 years. Taking Methadone or Saboxone is just a substitute for what ever it is you were just getting off of. Most professionals are ok, but there are those that are in it for the money!! You need to take care of your self and be careful of even some of the professionals. For my, there was no Easy way to kick. Just do it and don't start again.

    METHADONE              Reply to this Comment
obviously you don't know what addiction is like.. you can't just "toughen" up and then be over it!!! addiction is a disease, that's like you saying oh just toughen up and your diabetes will go away... DOSEN'T HAPPEN THAT WAY!!! and yes the clinics do help that's what they are there for. i guess your husband goes to the wrong doctor because no doctor will treat you for the addiction and then tell you to never stop taking it!! i agree methadone is harder to get off of, but it's the patient who has to be ready to get off of it, it's not the doctors fault! if you honestly think addiction is that easy just to say ok i'll toughen up and get over it.....then tell your husband to "toughen" up and get off of the methadone!! He knows what addiction is like and i'm sure he will tell you your CRAZY, it's much much more than that!! PURE ARROGANCE!!

    meth              Reply to this Comment
u do have a choice.they don't make u take it and they don't make you up your meds.you can lower it at any time as much as u want.but first you have to want to quit.will power!!!!

there are no withdrawal symtoms to suboxone

    Methadone              Reply to this Comment
Penelope, Thank you for being a powerful voice. Methadone can and has been a life saving medicine for many. Suboxone is a wonderful alternative for some. For many methadone is a stepping stone to a better life. There is too much unwarranted stigma against this lefe saving medication.

    Methadone              Reply to this Comment
NM- methadone does not get into your bones. That is a very old mytch. Narcotics including methadone have very little long term effects on the body. It can take a long time to taper off methadone- and if you taper too quickly- you will feel uncomfortable for a while. Methadone treatment is a long term treatment commitment.

    methadone              Reply to this Comment
It's a controlled substance. The pharmacy is required by law not to refill a script before its due. They are only doing their job.

Need help              Reply to this Comment
I really don't know what to do anymore. My husband has been slowly killing our family over the last 16 years. He makes very good money but we stay behind because he abuses drugs and alchol. Its not everyday or every week, just enough to blow one 1800.00 check or break my heart. It makes me feel so bad about me because the children and I just aren't enough.

    sam              Reply to this Comment
Sam I would suggest you attend an al-anon meeting to understand the 12 step program. You are powerless over your friends addiction and she will only get help when she is ready. Call your local AA and ask them for some places that offer detox for the uninsured and offer to take your friend there. If she goes for help you need to Let go and Let God take over because we are powerless over the addicts addiction.

    withdrawals              Reply to this Comment
THERE ARE WITHDRAWALS and it is not fun. My husband has been on and off of Syoxin and quit cold turkey 3 days ago and is a mess. Shaking - Temper - Sweating - not eating - Hot - Twitching - not sleeping at all - Wants to gt drunk or high to go to bed - cant go to work - ITS NOT EASY AND U SHOULD NOT GO ON THIS SYBOXIN CRAP! It helped get off the 30 Vicodin a day but then your addicted to this - JUST BE STRONG AND GET HELP AND SUPPORT FROM FRIENDS TO GET OFF THE ORIGINIAL DRUG ! DONT USE SYBOXIN!!!!!!
