suboxone or subutex              Reply to this Comment
I went to bradford and i didnt stay long enough. it wasted money and should've gone to a suboxone doc instead! im off of it now and it wasnt easy but it was easier than rehab and i've been sober 2 years and am fine after 6 years of oxy's. i got good info on counseling at bradford but not physical help which is what i needed to stop the cravings. an addiction specialist can do both for you and you don't have to go through rehab. everyone has a way that works, and after 5 tries, this is the only thing that worked. good luck

Correct way to spell and use              Reply to this Comment
Suboxone is the correct way to spell it not cyboxin. And yes this drug works very well with little or no side effects to stop using opiods.

why they use suboxone              Reply to this Comment
The reason they use and prescribe suboxone is to ease the withdrawl symptoms of heroin or prescriptions pain medication. It is a revolutionary drug that takes away all the withdrawl symptoms and helps you feel good so you can get your life back on track. People who are addicted to opiates cannot quit themselves, they cant do it. I was addicted to OxyContin for 3 years and it was the most painful experience of my life. But I am prescribed suboxone now, and it has significantly changed the way I look at opiate dependance. If there was no methadone or Suboxone, heroin addicts would never quit, they would never have a way out of this addictions to really enjoy life. And the suboxone helps you do that, thats why they replace the opiate with the suboxone, even though suboxone is an opiate as well. It helps suggnificantly when they ween you off of the suboxone, then you become drug free. And the reason you say."its replacing your opiate with anothert opiate" is because you have never fealt the horrors of opiate addiction and would understand alot more if you werent just a 3rd party looking in judging people like you seem to be doing.

CYBOXIN              Reply to this Comment
I AM GETTING READY TO TRY IT I AM MAKING AN APPT. I AM SCARED BUT IT HAS TO BE DONE. I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO ME I NEVER NEVER IN MY LIFE DID ANY DRUGS. I HAD MY 4TH CHILD BACK IN JUNE OF 06 AND THEY PRESCRIBED ME PERCS. I LIKED THE WAY THEY GAVE ME ENERGY SO I WOULD ALWAYS LOOK FOR AN EXCUSE TO GET NEW ONES. THE NEXT THING I KNOW A YEAR AND A HALF LATER HERE I AM I NEED THEM TO WAKE UP IN THE MORNING. I FINALLY CALLED A FRIEND AND SAID I HAVE A PROBLEM AND I NEED HELP SHE IS SETTING ME UP WITH A DR. WHO IS GOING TO DO JUST THAT. WISH ME LUCK.

try, do, etc              Reply to this Comment
It's funny to hear people say things like, "why don't you just try instead of relying on another drug!" If you've never gone through hardcore opioid withdrawal, you don't understand what a potent motivator it is to keep using opioids. It's not like a hangover, or the irritability you get when quitting smoking...it's like having a mega-flu plus a extra nasty stomach bug, plus the worst hangover you've ever had, plus the feeling that all your spirit has been sucked out of you, leaving you too exhausted to even think about moving. in essence, its the total opposite of all the effects you get from using heroin. suboxone is fanatastic, because it gives people another option to get the monkey off their back...but its no magic way out...you still have to conquer that demon of addiction. good luck to everyone, and always remember to never hesitate to offer a hand to someone else trying to quit.

Does anyone know of a doctor in Brevard County Fla that prescribes this medication? Appreciate the help.

Suboxone orBuprenorphine              Reply to this Comment
I am on It, and It Is a true wonder drug. It is also the best pain medication going which I am surprise nobody mentioned. I get It from the V.A. for free but not all V.A. medical centers use It.

soboxen              Reply to this Comment
I agree, this drug should be availible for anyone who needs it. The doctors who are in for the money only with the drug companies have the medical field a JOKE. It want be long before soboxen can be purchase from another country. Methadone is cheep and will be eventually taken off the market because of that. Legalize methadone and let anyone kill there selfs that don't have the brains to control there selfs.

suboxone and subutex              Reply to this Comment
thank you i was reading this and laughing because no one can spell it. I also work in a treatment center and it is a great drug definately better than methadone

suboxone              Reply to this Comment
it is spelled suboxone--also known as beprenorphine ---check w/ your counselor at the methadone clinic for local doctors who prescribe it--or call a few local treatment centers as well--i could help more if i knew what state u live in as state regulations vary greatly

Help              Reply to this Comment
My boyfriend had a really bad opiate problem. He was given suboxone. This addiction lasted (as far as he tells me) less than 6 months. How long does he have to be on Suboxone for? I'm asking because around November he told me he was all done and he didn't need them anymore. Well, I think he is back on pills and taking suboxone when he is out to get rid of the cravings. He says he is still on them from the first time, but refuses to answer why he told me he was off.

Spelling              Reply to this Comment
MY label spells it SUBOXENE. Not Cyboxin.

Suboxone              Reply to this Comment
My best friend is currently on methadone maintainance but has wanted to try Suboxone for a long time (before she got on the methadone program actually) but she was told that she has to be in withdrawal before she can start the Suboxone or it will actually put her right into heavy duty withdrawal once she first begins take it. She is deathly afraid of going into withdrawal so it's kept her from trying it. So, if anyone has any helpful info regarding this, she'd really appreciate it.
