My son NEEDS rehab. . .he hasn't been sober since he was 13 years old; he gets out of jail 11/16 and is going right back to crack cocaine; does anyone know about Narconon? Sounds like a great program and/or any other programs that aren't 12 step or Christian focused; I pray each night for my son as he is everything to me and I don't want him to die but I think he is well on his way; he has always lived "outside of the box!"

My brother is only 19 years old and is addicted to crack cocaine. he is wanting to get help but our family is poor and doesn't have a way to pay for rehab. Does anyone know of rehabs or programs in central Indiana that are free our have special funding?

I have a friend who is a convicted felon and is on parole. He went to jail for drug related issues. He is still addicted to cocaine and is afraid to get help in fear of going back to jail. I'm the only that knows about his addiction and I have no clue how to help! Do rehabs go to the police? Do they need to know your on parole? Will my friend be able to get professional help w/o having to go back to jail? He can't do inpatiant care. He doesn't want anyone knowing and he has a good job right now that he can't lose. PLEASE HELP!

First off hun, does your son want go get sober? Is he willing to into an inpatient rehabilitation? If so, thats wonderful. Hhowever, it sounds lke he isnt. I hope Im wrong. You can force and addict to want to become sober. Dont push him because he will only retaliate. Until he wants to change his life, you can not do anything for him. It all up to him. Ill pray for you And your son

My advise to all. If you have a family member or relative that's an addict, It will not help to force or push the person that's using because it makes them want to use more, I've learned on my own dealing with my mother who is an addict and it hurts me inside that my mother is using again. She just came home a year ago, and now she is back using again. I don't know what to do my self, but there is help out there. And only one person can change our family, that's man upstairs, our father in heaven. He's the only one who can change things, but the person has to want to change themselves. That's when things will change.

I'VE BEEN IN AND OUT OF JAIL FOR 5 YEARS. EVERY TIME I GO ITS DRUG RELATED. I'VE BEEN OUT OF JAIL FOR 2 WEEKS AND ALL I THINK ABOUT IS GOING AND GETTING A CRACK ROCK. MY BOYFRIEND IS ALSO A ADDICTED TO CRACK AND WE ARELOOKING FOR A PROGRAM FOR THE BOTH OF US TO STAY TOGETHER AND GET HELP SO WE CAN GET OUR LIVES BACK ON TRACK CAN YOU PLEASE HELP US????

I was reading an article on your post today and have a similar ? about if a rehab can report you to the police. My situation is a little diffrent I'm in DESPRATE NEED OF HELP but right now I have a warrant out for my arrest and the only thing keeping from turning myself in is the fact that I dont wanna have to detox in jail! So basicly my ? is if I try to go to rehab and get clean BEFORE I turn myself in can or will the rehab even let me come and would they have to tell the police if I tried to go???

Go to Mental Health Center--or make appt. They will help those who have been in trouble and can't tell because of confidentiality. Police will be glad for you to get help. My daughter got into detox unit the very next day after we went to mental health center. we got lucky--have patience--and we live in alabama where not much money goes to Mental Health. Counselors do not make much money--they do it because they care and are very nice people!

I am a herion user trying to detox, I have tried for the last two weeks with horrible results. My body is in trouble. I need help, where do I go. I have called every hour on the hour to the local detox program, first come first serve. They do not have beds. Please help
