umm i htink that if u try to get her into a treatment it might help because i went into treatment for my drug use and it helped me a lot i'm thinkful that i went because i don't know what would happen to me today if i didn't go into treatment in eau claire soo think about it!!!

Honestly, i dont know. Treatment may help some. It didnt help me for anything. Im going back tho tomorrow so maybe it just takes alittle longer for some people. But try and help your friend as much as possible and just be there for her. that is the best you can do.

You may want to try calling the some of the ED hospitals on the internet. I didn't have insurance and Remuda Ranch offered me treatment at a very discounted price. Most hospitals offer treatment for patients without insurance and/or the ability to pay to individuals that meet their criteria. Good Luck.

My name is Laura, and I'm one of three girls in my family who've almost died of anorexia nervosa. I am spearheading a community project to give us - you, me, and anyone affected by an eating disorder - a VOICE. It is called the Body Love Project, and the idea is to put together a book full of writings, artwork, and pictures on the subject of body love/body hate. You can submit anything that can go into book form. We'll also be hosting gatherings in which the affirmation of the goodness of our bodies will be the focus. When my husband was younger he had anorexia. We both understand that never goes away. For ten years he has been a healthy weight. Recently he experienced an illness that resulted in the lost of weight. He is currenlty at a really low weight. He is having difficulty getting back. He has amidtted he has a problem. We want to find a place in NH for men to talk and help him with a diet. Any ideas?

my brother just confirmed what i've been thinking all along.he has an eating disorder.he told me that it started when he got into the military over 6yrs ago he's been out 4yrs.i want to help him.i told him i want to go to the dr with him.he made up an excuse that his insur was cancl due to new company takeing over insur would be avail first of year.i feel he cant wait that long.anyone have any ideas where i could take him for free or reduce rate since i will have to pay out of pocket.jacksonville,fl

If you're here, looking at these forms, then you most likely have a problem, so for anyone with a question like "I'm sickly and don't eat because I'm not hungry. Could I be anorexic?" you need to get help. Please don't wait until you collapse in a store or until your hair starts to fall out. If you think you may have a problem, even if it might not seem that serious, get help. You will save yourself a lot of time and protect yourself from a lot of pain.
