Kelly Osborne - Personal Issues: 6-4-05

    June 4, 2005
News: Kelly Osbourne “Dealing with Personal Issues”

This report states that Kelly Osbourne, the twenty year old daughter of heavy metal star Ozzy Osbourne, has checked into a drug treatment center. This is an article on how one finds help and what can be done when dealing with personal issues.

Drug addiction is not something anyone chooses; it is a sickness. It does not matter whether addiction develops from chronic pain or recreational drug use taken to the extreme.

What does matter is how you begin to find a way out of addiction.

Detoxing is the first thing one needs to go through, and this is usually a very unpleasant experience. In the beginning of detox, one may feel a loss of dignity, fear, and physical pain. Addiction can destroy a person’s sense of them self. It causes decay, both mentally and physically, brining on depression, anger, and despair.

The incidences of addiction have been identified as a national health hazard. This news article shows that addiction does not care if you are rich, famous, poor, or what race, sect, or denomination of religion you come from. It does not matter who you are, where you come from or what you do.

Most people from all walks of life, from movie stars to soccer moms; from international businessmen to college students, never really realize that they could become trapped by the dependency of known substances, such as oxycontin, vicodin, codeine, lortab, darvon, morphine, etc.

We see a dramatic increase within our society when it comes to addiction. This article reminds us that no matter who we are, we can become addicts. Addiction affects almost every family directly or indirectly, and if left untreated results in wasted or lost lives.
