There is a group that meets on Saturday at the Lutheran Hospital in the Cafeteria area. The time is 2:pm-3:30pm. The people are consumers who attend and their reaching out to new-comer is the number one reason they are there. It is called DBSA. Depression/Bipolar Support Alliance. Also the NAMI office of Iowa in Des Moines provides a wealth of information and assistance to the families of persons with mental health related illnesses.
