I found your email address on the Association for Play Therapy website today. We have a most unusual situation and are seeking referral to the appopriate therapist, support group, parenting classes, or other resources that might suit our situation. My daughter just moved in with us from Japan where she's been living for 10 years. Her son is 4 and speaks very little english. We are having enormous trouble with teaching him boundaries, following simple rules, and communication. In Japan, children are not taught any of this until around the age of 5 when they are abruptly forced to conform. We have a wild animal on our hands and we love them both very much.
