30 days vs 90 days Reply to this Comment I had received services at The Villa in Santa Ana, CA and referred a friend there for an interview yesterday (6/28/07). She wanted to enter as a self pay, and needed a 30 day treatment stay. The bed was available, but when staff learned she was a registered nurse, they made it a mandatory 90 day stay if she wanted to enter. They stated" Nurses and doctors can't seem to keep their hands off the pills". "They get out of treatment in 30 days and go right back to using". This is clearly an unprofessional attitude coming from a recovery center. The whole idea of entering a facility is to get the foundation for returning to society and following up with a 12 step support program. I am 100% sure they were only interested in her money for 90 days. I have been back to work for 2 years and have not relapsed ONCE! I am also a registered nurse. I will NEVER RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY AGAIN. I know from personal experience they take free contributions from organizations (Such as Disney Store) and hold yard sales and SELL the items. Clothing contributions to the house are always gone through by staff before offering anything to the residents. They are truly CROOKS!! | ||||||||
